Nevada Public Library obituary file, Nevada, Iowa. AMES MILEPOST, December 1939. “EDWARD TOMLINSON. – Edward Tomlinson, age about 41 years, died at his home at Cambridge, Friday evening probably about 8 o’clock, although he was not found for some time. Mr. Tomlinson ahd been ill for some time and had complained of a severe headache during the afternoon. Coroner Mills was called to investigate the matter in accordance with the law which provides such procedure in cases of deaths of this nature, although in this case there was no question that the death was a natural one. He leaves besides his wife, five sons, Edward of Omaha, Leslie, Melvin, Paul and Wrex at home and one daughter, Ruth Eline. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Ruth Waud of Marshalltown, **Mrs. Myrtle Blair of St. Paul, Mrs. Marion Gill of Cambridge and Mrs. Grace Larson of Madrid. Mr. Tomlinson, a World War veteran was to have entered the Veteran’s hospital in Des Moines Wednesday of next week for examination and treatment.” **Obituary typed exactly as written for newspaper, it is assumed that the listed individuals are sisters.
