MRS. ANNA MAE LARSON
Mrs. Anna Mae Larson was born at Roland on September 26, 1875, and passed away at the Askvig-Crickmore Rest Home in Eagle Grove on Monday morning, November 12, 1951, at the age of 76 years, one month and 15 days.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Bergen Lutheran church and had lived in the Roland community all her life.

She was was united in marriage to James H. Larson on October 17, 1893. Her husband passed away on May 15, 1924. To this union were born five children, all of whom survive their mother. They are: Leonard of Pasadena, Calif., Severt and Malcom of Roland, Mildred (Mrs. W.D. Brewer) of Pasadena, Calif., and Avis (Mrs. Frank Shaffer) of Fort Dodge.

She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ida Hanson of Roland, two brothers, Jacob Erickson or Roland and Olaf Erickson of McAllen, Texas, and nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One sister, Lizzie, and one brother, Severt, passed away several years ago.

Mrs. Larson had been in ill health for several years and was cared for at a nursing home in Eagle Grove the past years.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, November 15 at the Salem Lutheran church with Rev. Olaf Holen officiating. Pall bearers were Harvey Lura, Peter P. Teig, Reuben Solyst, O.M. Thompson, Knut Mehus and T. I. Sampson. Burial was made in the Roland cemetery.

Among those from out of town in attendance at the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Thompson of Story City, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morrow, Mrs. Nellie Crickmore, Mrs. Carrie Askvig, of Eagle Grove, Gerry Askvig and Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Rierson of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Wm. Cather of Newton, Mrs. Lizzie Coleman and Mrs. Gladys Peterson of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stenson, Mrs. Ruby Anfinson and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vail of Nevada.
