YODER, MARY ELIZABETH HOSTETLER (MRS. GEORGE YODER) 1866-1951)

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, November 8, 1951, page 1, column 6.
“MARY E. YODER DIES IN OREGON. – Mary E. Hostetler, daughter of John and Ann Hostetler, was born near Kalona, Iowa, May 3, 1866 and passed away at Oregon City, Oregon October 29, 1951. At the age of two years she moved with her parents to a farm near Maxwell, where she grew to womanhood. On October 19, 1888 she was united in marriage to George Yoder of Kalona, they making their home on a farm near that place until the passing of the husband on October 14, 1942. On February 11, 1949 she left to make her home with her brother in Oregon City, Oregon, where she spent the remaining years of her life. In her passing she leaves one sister, Mrs. Kathryn Doolittle of Des Moines, Iowa, and two brothers, Walter Hostetler of Oregon City, and N. G. Hostetler of Maxwell. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Kalona with Rev. Milton Hollingshead officiating, with burial in the Sharon Hill cemetery.”
