OBITUARY OF MRS. TEMPLETON.

Former Nevada Woman Brought Back for Interment.

Mrs. Jane Templeton-Hardin, whose death was mentioned in Friday's Journal, was born in Pennsylvania, September 27, 1825. She was married to Walter Templeton at Plumville, Penn., November 7, 1856. To this union two children were born, but both of them died some years ago. The children were Thomas and Mattie Templeton. Mr. and Mrs. Templeton came to Nevada in 1868, where they continued to reside during the life of the husband. Later Mrs. Templeton was married to John Hardin, who died about three years ago.

For the past several years, or since 1902, she made her home in Nebraska with her grandson, Clyde Templeton. They first lived at Fulleron and later at O'Neil, where the grandson now has his home.

Mrs. Templeton died on Thursday, March 16, at 11:30 o'clock. The body reached here Friday evening and was taken to the home of Mrs. Sarah Dillin, where it reposed until Saturday afternoon when the funeral was held at Central Presbyterian church. Besides the grandson, who is the only blood relative in this part of the country, the deceased leaves one sister whose home is at Plumville, Penn., and a daughter-in-law, now Mrs. Solomon Young, of Des Moines.

Mrs. Templeton was a woman of exceptionally fine character and she is remembered by many Nevada friends most kindly. She was long a member of the Presbyterian church and during the active years of her life was a woman recognized as a power for the good of the community in which she resided.
