Kenneth Kinsman Died Last Evening; Funeral Thursday

Kenneth Kinsman, 19, only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Kinsman of North Grant, died at Iowa sanitarium Tuesday evening about 6:30, from complications following an operation about two weeks before for acute gangrenous appendicitis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon. There will be a prayer service at the Morfoot Funeral home at 2:00 followed by the funeral services proper at 2:30 at the Methodist Episcopal church with his pastor Rev. George A. Lawton in charge. Interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Kenneth Nelson Kinsman, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Kinsman, was born in Grant township November 19, 1915, and had lived in that neighborhood all his life.

He attended the North Grant school, finishing there in 1930 and graduated from the Nevada high school with the class of 1932.

Following his graduation from high school he spent a year at Iowa State college, where he specialized in landscape architecture. He did outstanding work in that line and had expected to finish that course at the college.

During his year at Iowa State college he became affiliated with the Theta Delta Chi fraternity and members of that fraternity will act as pall bearers at the funeral.

Kenneth was a good boy of fine personality, a good student, devoted to his home and family and the close relationship between the young man and his father was very pronounced. "If there ever was a case where a father and son were real chums, this was one of the," said a friend who had been close to the family.

He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, was active in Sunday school and Epworth League work and had served on the Epworth League cabinet during his senior year in high school.

He leaves besides his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Mildred McConnell of Nevada and Miss Evelyn Kinsman at home. Besides a wide circle of other relatives and close friends.
