DEATH OF MAURICE JESS.

Funeral to be Held Tomorrow at Ten O'clock at Catholic Church.

The death of Maurice Jess occurred yesterday morning at half after two o'clock, after a protracted illness at the home of his brother, John Jess, on a farm west of the city. The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at ten o'clock at St. Patrick's church by Father Nichols, after which it is probable that the remains will be shipped to Champaign, Ill., for interment.

The deceased had been a sufferer for many months with a complication of dropsy, asthma and other diseases and his death has been expected for some time. While he has been able to be up and about the house at time until very recently, it was necessary to perform operations upon him at frequent intervals to give him relief from his disease.

The deceased was a son of William and Margaret Jess, natives of Ireland and himself was a native of Indiana. He was born in that state about fifty-one years ago, he being 50 years, 9 months and 23 days old at the time of his death. He was married to the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mulvihill, of this city, while the family were living in Illinois. The wife died some years ago and two daughters are now left to survive the parents. They are Misses Agnes and Sadie Jess. The latter is working in a millinery store, while the former is one of the popular teachers of the county.

The family and friends will receive a full measure of the sympathy of their neighbors and friends.
