Death of Moses Pickett

Moses Pickett of Ft. Dodge, in former years a resident of Nevada die at his home there on Friday last and was buried Sunday afternoon in the cemetery at Nevada. Mr. Pickett was born in Ohio on September 4, 1833, and at his death on March 10, 1911, he was aged 77 years, 6 months and 6 days. During the several years in the '90s that the family resided in Nevada. Mr. Pickett was in poor health, and he was not engaged in active business; but he impressed himself as a man of ability and worth. During the period of the residence here the eldest son died and was buried here, and it was beside this son that the father is now buried. The funeral party consisted of six or eight member of the family and friends from Ft. Dodge and elsewhere his daughter, Miss Luella Pickett being in charge. Rev. Miss Sanborn, long a close friend of the family conducted the service here at the grave.
