Funeral Held at Radcliffe for Mrs. Erbes

Radcliffe, May 7--Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Carrie Erbes from Our Savior's Lutheran church in charge of Rev. B. K. Barstad.

Mrs Carrie Erbes died Monday afternoon at the Iowa Falls hospital where she had undergone a major operation two weeks ago. Her death occurred the day following her 41st birthday and 21st wedding anniversary. Mrs. Erbes was born near Radcliffe, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Berdinus Hegland. She was united in marriage to John Erbes of Lee, Ill. May 1, 1917. She lived in Illinois until the death of her husband in 1928, coming to Radcliffe with her three sons to make a home for her father, after the death of her mother.

She is survived by her three sons, Don, 18, John, 17, who is a member of the Radcliffe high school and Dean, 11; her father, Berdinus Hegland and five brothers, Jesse and Burton of Radcliffe, Roy of Lee, Ill., Benhart of Marshalltown and Lester of Ames.

Following the funeral services in Radcliffe the funeral party drove to Lee, Ill., where brief services were held and interment made beside her husband.
