Olaf Anenson Dead; Funeral Services Tuesday

Special to the Journal:
Roland, Feb. 7--Funeral rites for Olaf M. Anenson, 64, longtime Roland man, who died at Iowa sanitarium, Nevada, Saturday, after a lingering illness,, will be held Tuesday.

Following a prayer service at the home here at 1:30, there will be funeral rites at Salem Lutheran church at 2:00, with his pastor Rev. Olaf Holen in charge. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

Mr. Anenson was born at Kopervik, Norway, Europe, Dec. 30, 1873. He came to America in 1888, the family locating at Norway, in Benton county, Iowa, where he lived and was married in 1895 to Miss Rachael Ellingson.

They came to Story county in 1901 locating first on a farm north of town, but moving into Roland shortly afterwards.

He had always been active in business among other things having managed the Farmers elevator here, been engaged in various mercantile ventures, bought and shipped livestock, spent a year or so on a sewer contract in Chicago, and been identified with various other activities.

He leaves besides his wife, one daughter Mrs. Ruth Anenson-Kushner of Chicago and a sister Louise of Norway.

Mr. Anenson has been failing for some time, being a sufferer from Bright's disease and other complications, but for the past month he had been failing very rapidly and his death was not unexpected.
