Dora McCollom Dies at Hospital At the Age of 81

Mrs. Wallace (Dora) McCollom, 81, longtime resident of the Colo Community, died Friday afternoon at the Story County Hospital in Nevada. She had suffered from cancer since last fall.

She was born in Sullivan, Ill., November 4, 1880 and came to Iowa in 1896.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. from the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing with the Rev. Dean Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in the Colo cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Stevens, Nevada, Mrs. Walter (Lola) Mains, Mrs. Winifred (Blanche) Shultz and Eunice McCollom, all of Colo, C. L. (Grace) Crippen, Loveland, Colo. and Mrs. Reuben (Mary) Smith, Cedar Rapids; also two brothers, John and Clyde Webb of Altavista, Iowa.
