Mrs. Anna Anderson Funeral Services Are Held Thursday
Mrs. Anna Anderson was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Nov. 14, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Hansen. She came to this country at the age of two years.
She was married to Peter Anderson at Parkersburg, Iowa, in 1899, and had lived in Iowa and Minnesota the most of her life. Her husband died in 1930.
For the past twelve years Mrs. Anderson had made her home with her only son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Anderson in Milton, Wis., who cared for her until two weeks before her death, when she was taken to the Edgerton Memorial Hospital in Janesville, Wis., where she died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1961.
Survivors include the son, Elmer, three grandchildren and one great grandchild, one brother, Lew Hansen, Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Tillie McKibben of Des Moines.
Services
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson were held at the Ryan Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 28, 1961, at 2:30 p. m. with Elder Carl W. Jorgensen officiating, assisted by Elder E. B. Hallsted.
Forrest Tennihill, soloist, was accompanied by Miss Donna Olson at the organ.
Casket bearers were Clifford Buffington, Charles Foster, Phil Miller, Paul Olson, Marvin Smith Jr. and Paul Stone.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.
