Obituary

JEFFREY ORVILLE (J. O.) SAVERAID

Jeffrey Orville (J.O.) Saveraid died Wednesday, March 19 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He was born Dec. 29, 1904 to Peter J. and Josephine (Severeid) Saveraid. He married Eva Satterlee of Elkhart Jan. 8, 1927 in the Palestine Lutheran Church where he was a lifetime member. They farmed in the Huxley area.

Services were held Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. from Palestine Lutheran Church of Huxley, with Rev. Ernest G. Thompson officiating. Interment was at Palestine Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Eva, one daughter Janet Roberts of Huxley; four sons Kenneth of Cushing, Minn., Paul of Cambridge, Herbert of Norwalk, and Arthur of Huxley; two brothers Palmer of Huxley and J. Harold of California, one sister Elizabeth Sheldahl of Huxley; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
