Former Nevada Woman Is Dead

Mrs. Chas. L. Covell, 67, a resident of Nevada a third of a century ago and remembered by some of the older residents of the city died at her home at Alameda, Calif. Wednesday evening according to word reaching Mrs. Virginia Ferner her step-mother, and other relatives.

Her maiden name was Catherin Ferner, a daughter of the late J. D. Ferner and his first wife. She was born in Nevada in 1858 and was married to Charles L. Coverll, to which union four children were born, all of whom survive the parents.

She leaves her four children, Mrs. Richardson of San Francisco, Mrs. Smith of Milwaukee, Ferner Covell of San Francisco and Leon Covell of the U. S. navy.

Other relatives are her step-mother, Mrs. Ferner of this city, her half-sisters Mrs. F. C. McCall and Miss Elva Ferner and her cousins Misses Annetta and Grace Bricker and Edgar Statler of this city, Margaret Statler of Florida and Ferd Statler of Des Moines.
