CHRISMAN FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON

WELL KNOWN WOMAN DIED AT HER HOME ON SEVENTH ST. FRIDAY EVENING

Mrs. J. M. Chrisman, 58, well known woman of this city, died on Eighth street and the funeral services were held this afternoon 2:30 by her pastor, Rev. Jackson Giddens of the First Methodist church. Interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Chrisman was born Ada Ellen Hudson*, in Bureau county, Illinois, on September 13, 1867, making her 57 years, 11 months and 8 days of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Chrisman had not been well for the past year and had been confined to her home and gradually failing for the past several months.

She leaves besides her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Chrisman-Lane of St. Anthony and Miss Gertrude Chrisman at home, one grandchild, besides her aged mother, brothers and sisters.

The Chrisman family had been residents of Story county for over a quarter of a century, some years of which they spent upon a farm in Richland township, but later moving into Nevada where their home had since been.

She was a woman of exceptionally fine character and talents and was much beloved not only by members of her family but by her neighbors and others who had enjoyed her acquaintance.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The deceased was born Adda Ellen Reed, daughter of Leroy Hudson Reed and Sarah Frances Britton.
