“HELD FINAL RITES FOR GEORGE D. BLUMENSTEIN. Special to Journal. MAXWELL, Dec. 9 – Grave-side services were held in the local cemetery Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock for George D. Blumenstein, 86, a former resident of this place, who for many years has resided at Waterloo. The funeral rites were held at Waterloo where he passed away and burial was made in the family lot in the Maxwell cemetery beside his wife, who died here a number of years ago. He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Bertha** Logg, of California; Mrs. Edith Sheler, Runnells; Mrs. Bertha Sanders, Shannon City and Mrs. Fern Wagner, Waterloo. The latter three were here for the last rites.” **Geroge had four daughters Bertha, EMMA, Edith and Fern; Bertha married Vaughn Sanders.
