SUDDEN DEATH OF "CAD" BREEZLEY

FORMER STORY COUNTY MAN DIED FOLLOWING STROKE OF PARALYSIS.

Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Dec. 1--The very sudden death of John Calvin "Cad" Breezley, former well known resident of this part of Story county, at his homme in Rockwell City, the night of November 21, has reached and shocked friends in this city.

Breezley, born near this city June 29, 1869, lived within this community until seven years ago, when he moved to Calhoun county and took charge of the work on the state farm at the Womans State Reformatory, as farm superintendent. He retained in that position for about 6 years but had given it up and moved into Rockwell, where he was residing at the time of his untimely death.

He was married to Miss Isa Rodgers in 1895. To this union five daughters and two sons were born. All of them survive the father.

Mr. Breezley was a good farmer. He was industrious, and possessed good judgment. He was quiet in manner, and appreciated good things. He was a good father and faithful husband.

He was an honored member of the I. O. O. F. Fraternity.

For a number of months he has been under the doctor's care, but he continued to work until the last day of his life. On Friday afternoon, Nov. 21, while attending a football game, he fainted and never regained consciousness. Three hours later his soul passed on.

He is survived by his wife, seven children: Miss Florence Breezley, of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. H. L. Clover of St. Louis, Mrs. Lee Huston, Harriet, Evelyn, Ralph and Rodgers all of Rockwell City, his mother, who resides in Oklahoma, three brothers and one sister.
