OBITUARIES
Clara Boyce
Clara Boyce, 85, Seattle, Wash., died March 3 of natural causes in Seattle.
Boyce was born in Nevada in 1904 to John and Vivian Larson. She graduated from the Nevada High School in 1922 and attended the University of Iowa. She taught in Shipley in 1924 and in the Nevada Junior High from 1925 to 1927. She served on the Nevada school board from 1933 to 1942 and was a home service representative for the East Story County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
She also worked as a receptionist for Drs. Bush Houston and Richard Mordaunt in Nevada and served as secretary to the superintendent of the Nevada School District from 1951 to 1962. She moved to Seattle in 1962.
In 1984, Boyce began acting in films and commercials and will appear in two movies on cable television.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Boyce of Seattle, Wash., and Richard Boyce of San Francisco, Calif., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren Memorial donations may be sent to the Seattle Repertory organization, 155 Mercer Street, Seattle, 98109.
