OBITUARIES
Eunice McCollom
Eunice McCollom, 102, of Nevada died of a heart ailment April 13 at Rolling Green Village.
McCollom was born Feb. 6, 1888, in Sullivan, Ill., to W.I. and Nancy Webb. She married Forrest McCollom in Colo on Jan. 10, 1914. She worked as a school teacher in rural schools surrounding Colo and taught in Colo Junior High School. She was a member of the Colo United Methodist Church, the Colo W.O. Club, the Colo Garden Club, and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Dittman of Napa, Calif., Ruth Ellwood of Ellsworth and Grace Miller of Nevada; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one infant son and one grandson.
Visitation was held April 15 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada. Services were held April 16 at Colo United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Weida officiating. Burial was in the Colo Cemetery.
