Funeral Services Held at Zearing for Mrs. Wahlheter

Zearing, Nov. 8--Funeral services for Mrs. George Wohlheter, 78, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Church of Christ in Zearing. Rev. Kenneth Tuttle of Whitten occupied the pulpit. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Golly, Miss Myrtle Golly and Carol Bailey sang as a quartet accompanied at the piano by Mrs. N. H. Norton. Mrs. L. P. Herr and Mrs. Guy Clatterbuck were in charge of the many beautiful flowers. The pallbearers were J. C. Allen, G. W. Eley, Frank Tett, L. P. Herr, E. F. Moore and W. W. Carver. Burial was in Zearing cemetery.

Mary Jane Klock was born in the state of New York, July 11, 1859. When a small child, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klock moved to Iowa and located in Elgin, Iowa, where she met her husband, Geo. W. Wohlheter. They were married Sept. 29, 1878 and lived in various parts of Iowa, moving to Zearing in the fall of 1891 where they have lived since that time.

Mrs. Wohlheter died Nov. 1, 1937, leaving to mourn her besides her husband, one brother and three sisters, Geo. Klock of La Porte City, Mrs. Arlie Bray of Fayette, Mrs. Celia Smith of McCallsburg, Mrs. Nell Smith of Marion, N. D., and many other relatives and friends.

Relative and friends from out of town were, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith of McCallsburg, Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Parker of Ontario, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. C. Bray of Waukon, Mrs. C. Abel of Fayette; Geo. Klock of La Porte City, Mr. and Mrs. V. G. Wohlheter, Watertown, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. W. Dollen, Mrs. Philip Wohlheter, Mrs. Chas. Nelson and Willard Wohlheter of Fairmont, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Light and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wander of Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Callan of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Isaac Elliott, Marshall, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. A. Swanson, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vogt and Mrs. Jennie Price of Marshalltown.
