Funeral Services for Mrs. Lars Erickson at Palestine Church

Special to the Journal:
Huxley, Oct 2--Funeral services for Mrs. Lars Erickson were held at the Palestine church Thursday afternoon at 1:30 after a short prayer service at the home.

Mrs. Ray Elliott and Miss June Sheldahl sang a duet "Does Jesus Care" with piano accompaniment by Miss Junenetta Larson, after which Rev. Buland had scripture reading. Mrs. Elliott and June Sheldhl then sang "Tired" and Rev. Buland then addressed the large audience using both languages. He chose his text from the 4th chapter of Hebrew, verses 9 to 11, and in the Norwegian language he spoke words of comfort to the bereaved, from the 23rd Psalm Walter Christopher then sang a Norwegian solo "Den Store Hvie Flok Vi Se."

Several donations were made to the missions in her memory, by neighbors, friends and her Aid Society. There were also numerous floral pieced that paid silent tribute to the departed friend. She was always of a cheerful disposition, and with her friendly smile and greeting had endeared herself to many, and all who knew her loved her.
