Funeral Services for James Scarcello, Jr.

Funeral services for James Scarcello, Jr., were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bethel Evangelical church in Manly, in charge of Rev. F. R. Blakely. The body was taken Wednesday morning to Loring, where a short service was held in the Evangelical church in charge of Rev. Thiele and burial was in Mount Zion cemetery.

Music at the services at Manly was by a quartette composed of Mrs. Harold Harnack, Mrs. Blakely, Delbert Jackson and Carl Gherkin. Mrs. Thiele and Mrs. Jones sang at the Loring services.

Pallbearers were Merle Mencsh, Bob Culver, Leland Pinta, Al Leslie, Jess Mason and Alvin Mason.

James Franklin Scarcello, Jr., son of James and Mable Scarcello was born at Sherman, Hardin county, Nov. 28, 1922 and departed from this life at his home in Manly on Jan. 10, 1937 at the age of 14 years, 1 month and 12 days.

James has always been a sufferer from heart trouble which was the cause of his death. Because of his ill health he had been compelled to give up his school work. In spite of his sickness he had never wanted to impose on any one.

He leaves to mourn his early death his parents Mr. and Mrs. James Scarcello, his grandfather, John Mishler of Manly, his grandmother Elizabeth Scarcello of Italy, five sisters, Mrs. John Crosser of Fernald, Minerva of Chicago, Rose, Betty and Mary of Manly. Five brothers John, Sam, Francis, Richard and Delbert all at home. He also leaves two nephews.

Relatives attending from a distance besides family and relatives at Loring were Charles Mishler of Knoxville, Mrs. Sam Kirris of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mishler of Nevada, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leslie and sons of Manly, Frank Scarcello and Frank, Jr., Frank Debartolo, Mrs. Mike Funauro, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mengrone, and Don Cianciaruso all of Des Moines.
