Relatives receive the sad news of the death of Mrs. L. C. Cooper, which occurred after a lingering illness at her home near Cornelius, Ore., Monday, Dec. 6, 1915. Mr. Cooper came to Story county with her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Utterback over sixty years ago when she was small child. She grew to womanhood here and married Luther C. Cooper who is a brother of Messrs. M. D. and W. D. Cooper living south of Colo. Several years after their marriage they moved west and for a number of years have lived on the farm where she passed away at the age of sixty five years. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday and interment made in the Cornelius cemetery. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, three sons and one daughter, one brother Joe Utterback of Hagarman, New Mexico and two sisters Mrs. J. Elwood of Colo, Ia., and Mrs. Ellen Amburn of Kunkhannock, Pa., besides other relatives and a host of friends. There are still a good many people in this vicinity who knew Mr. and Mrs. Cooper will be grieved to learn of her death and extend heartfelt sympathy to the sorrowing ones.
