Nancy Ann Brodie, 81 of Ottumwa, formerly of Nevada, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

Visitation will be 507 p.m. Thursday, January 30 at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 31 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

Nancy was born April 8, 1938, in Fort Dodge the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Rhum) Auten. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School and was united in marriage to Jerry Jon Brodie on July 18, 1957, in Fort Dodge.

Nancy was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada, Evening Circle and the Red Hat Ladies. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and puzzles. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her children: Jerry Brodie II of Ames and Catherine (Ryan) Kahler of Ottumwa; her grandchildren: Lisa (Derek) Baker, Adam (Rebecca) Brodie, Taylor (Megan) Brodie, Emily Kahler (fiance Kris Waller), Alex Kahler (fiance Juanita Hughes) and Sarah Kahler (fiance Austin Hutchinson); her great-granchildren: Cecilia Hughes, Tyson Herberlin, Caitlin Brodie, William Brodie, Olivia Baker and Ella Baker; her brother, Jerry (Ruth) Auten of Fort Dodge and her sister, Susan (Roy) Tallman of Harcourt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Wilber Auten and Douglas Auten and a sister, Victoria Presler.
