J. E. White and his brothers Sam of Nevada an John of Neb. were called to Irving last Saturday by the fatal illness of their sister Mrs. Elizabeth Butcher. She passed away Tuesday morning Sept. 19, 1916 aged about 79 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Irving cemetery. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband Isaac Butcher (who is sick in the hospital at the Soldiers Home at Marshalltown), two daughters Mrs. Rose Spencer of Missouri and Miss Myra of Irving and three brothers already mentioned besides numerous other relatives and friends. Twenty-two years have passed since the Butcher family moved from this vicinity but there are still many friends here who remember them kindly, and extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
