DEATHS

Funeral services for Clarence E. James were held at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City on Monday afternoon August 12 at two o'clock with the Rev. Paul H. Beckman officiating.

Mrs. Paul H. Beckman, organist, accompanied Mrs. Charles Jewell who sang, "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "There Is a Place of Quiet Rest."

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery. Pall bearers were Homer Brown, Myron Rod, Lester Peterson, Ralph Brown, Theodore Thompson and Hubert Doolittle.

Clarence E. James, son of George and Belle James was born April 24, 1896 at Story City and died at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on August 9 where he was a patient for twelve days.

He was united in marriage to Edna Kammin of Story City, at Nevada on April 27, 1921. A daughter, Irene, was born to this couple.

James farmed in Story County most of his life. His wife, Edna and two sisters preceded him in death. Those who mourn his death are his daughter, Mrs. Albert (Irene) Anderson and her husband, one grandson Curtis Anderson, all of Story City and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. James was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
