Claude Shickell Dies on Friday

Claude Shickell, Route 1, Nevada, died Friday (26th) afternoon at the Story County hospital where he was admitted a short time earlier after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 71 years of age having been born in McCallsburg, Jan 18, 1884.

The body will remain at the Ryan Funeral Home until Sunday afternoon when it will be taken to the Shickell home southeast of Nevada. It will remain until time of funeral services which will be held from the E.U.B. church in Collins, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Ray Thompson officiating assisted by the Rev. Virgil Shickell and the Rev. G. H. Talbott.

A prayer service will be held at the Shickell home at 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Surviving are the wife Olive McCord Shickell whom he married Nov. 25, 1908, and four brothers, Lee Shickell of Nevada, T. H. Shickell, Collins, Sidney of Nevada and Roy Shickell at home.

Burial will be in Collins.
