Conrad S. Swanson, 94, of Nevada dies of congestive heart failure at Rolling Green Village, Nevada.
He was born in Marseilles, Ill., to Benjamin and Elizabeth (Larson) Swanson. He married Jessie Blickensderfer in Colo on March 1, 1922. He lived in Nevada since 1964, having moved from the Fernald and Zearing area. He was a farmer and had retired. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada. He served on the council for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fernald.
Survivors include two daughters, Isabel Larson of Ames and Norma Swanson of Nevada; three grandchildren, Christine Brooks of Glendale, Ariz., Camille Snedden of Normal, Ill., and David Larson of Des Moines; five great-grandchildren, Michael Brooks, and Matthew Brooks, both of Topeka, Kan., Suzette Snedden of Champaign, Ill., Gregg Snedden of Baton Rouge, La., and Sean Larson of Iowa City, and one great-great grandchild, Allegra Brooks of Topeka, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie, in 1984 and his parents.
Funderal services were held Monday at Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada, with Pastor Forrest Chaffee officiating. Burial followed in Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Cooper-Ryan Guneral Home handled arrangements.
