Mrs. Fred Blickensderfer 86, Colo, died at 2 a.m. Friday, in the Gilmore Nursing Home, Nevada, after an extended illiness.

Mrs. Blickensderfer was born May 23, 1878 in Washington County, and had lived in Story County the past 57 years.

She married Fred Blickensderfer Nov. 23, 1898 at Grace Hill and was the mother of 2 sons and five daughters.

Services will be conducted from the Colo Methodist Church, where Mrs. Blickensderfer was a member, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Floyd Newborough officiating.

The body will remain at Ryan Funeral Home until noon Sunday, then will be taken to the church to lie in state. Burial will be in Colo Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.

Survivors include her husband Fred and children--Mrs. C. S. Swanson, Nevada; Mrs. Herman Greiner, Ames; Mrs. C. C. Monaghan, Milwaukee, Wisc.; Mrs. William Shickell, Sr., Nevada; Mrs. Albert Haas, Colo and Glenn Blickensderfer, Colo.
