T. William Shickell Sr.
Feb. 27, 1906, - May 18, 1991

T. William Shickell Sr., 85, of Nevada died of heart failure Saturday at the Story County Long Term Care Facility.

He was born Feb. 27, 1906, in Story County to Lee and Mabel (Cork) Shickell. He was a lifelong resident of Story County and lived his entire life in the Nevada area. He married Ethel Blickensderfer on Dec. 24, 1935, at Colo. He was self-employed as a farmer and retired in 1975. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nevada.

Survivors include two sons, William of Nevada and Fred of Lincoln, Neb.; one daughter Nancy Tuma of Lamoni; one sister, Leilia Grimes of Green Castle, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held May 21 at the Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada. Services were held May 22 at the United Methodist Church, Nevada. Burial was held at the Woodland Cemetery in Iowa Center.
