Myra Odett (Blickensderfer) Haas
Feb. 14, 1913-Aug. 5, 1998

Myra Odett (Blickensderfer) Haas, of Boone, died of heart failure Wednesday at Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Stevens Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Larry LaVelle officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens.

yra Odett (Blickensderfer) Haas was born in Colo, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Lewis) Blickensderfer. On June 8, 1934, she married Albert Haas in Collins. They moved to Ames in 1966. Mrs. Haas worked as an elementary teacher at Fellows Elementary School and retired in 1978. In 1993, she moved to the Eastern Star Masonic Home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of Alpha Delta Kappa.

Survivors include on son, John Haas of Urbandale; four daughters, Rita Teig of San Jose, Calif, Beth Ozias of Ellisville, Mo., Mary Crouse of Boone, and Myrna Jensen of Cedar Falls, 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation if from 7 to 9 tonight at Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.
