Ethel Leona Shickell

Ethel Leona Shickell, 84, of Nevada, died Saturday, April 15, 1989 at Story County Hospital in Nevada. Cause of death was congestive heart failure.

Shickell was born at Washington County, IA, March 10, 1905 to Fred and Elizabeth Blickensderfer. Shickell married Bill Shickell on Dec. 24, 1935 in Colo, IA; She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the ODO Club, and the U.M.W.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Shickell; a son, William D. Shickell, Nevada; Fred Shickell of Lincoln, NE; a daughter, Nancy Tuma of Blythedale, MO; two sisters, Bertha Monahan, SC; and Myra Haas of Ames, IA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday, April 18, 1989 at the United Methodist Church.
