AGED NEVADA PEOPLE CALLED

TWO DIE THIS WEEK, AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS. FUNERALS TODAY OF MRS SCOTT & I. L. DONALDSON

Mrs. A. L. Scott died Wednesday morning at 6:15 at the home of her son, E. W. Scott and wife, corner Oak and Third avenue south, following a stroke of paralysis which she suffered the last of the week. There will be short services held at the home this afternoon at 4:30, after which the body will be taken to the Rock Island station and from there to the old family home at Osceola where the services will be held at the Presbyterian church on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Scott was a native of Chautauqua county, N. Y., and was about 78 years of age. She leaves five sons and three daughters, besides 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Scott was born Mary Louise Babbitt and was born, as stated, in New York in 1840. She came with her family to Illinois and was married at Rock Island in 1860 to Avery Leonard Scott. They made their home at or near Osceola, Iowa, following their marriage and there the husband and father died. She continued to live there until about six years ago when she went to Minnesota to live with a daughter. She had live in Nevada at the home of her son at different times and came here last on December 15 last.

Besides her son, Ed W. and wife, she had with her, her daughter, Alice, who had been with her for some time and also Gertrude of Minneapolis. One son, George came up from Audubon Monday night but was compelled to return to Des Moines where he will join the funeral party and accompany the body to Osceola for interment.
