On last Thursday evening at seven o'clock at their home near Bancroft, Iowa, passed away Mrs. Linnie Neilsen, wife of Nels Neilsen, of Slater, Iowa. She was a sufferer from asthma, which disease was the immediate cause of death. She was born near Marengo in 1881, being 36 years of age at the time of her death. Deceased was the mother of four children: Lawrence, Marguerite, Hubert and Sherman, all of whom are living. She is also survived by Mr. John Stenberg, her foster father, the husband's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Neilsen of Slater; who with a sister of husband, Mrs. Katie Nelson, of Sioux City, Iowa, and her boy, Jules were present at the funeral.

The funeral was held from the Methodist church in Slater, Sunday at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the regular minister, Rev. Fred Ingvolstad. Burial was in the Slater cemetery.
