MRS. KATIE EARL DIED THURSDAY

FUNERAL WILL BE HELD SATURDAY AFTERNOON--INTERMENT IN NEVADA

Mrs. Katie Earl, 62, died at her home in the Benjamin Earl apartments on Main street, Nevada, Thursday afternoon, after a lingering illness of about seven months.

The funeral will be held at the Morfoot Funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery. The services will be in charge of Rev. Louis E. Watson of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Earl was a native of Story county, having been born Katie Elisa Elliott, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abner C. Elliot, August 4, 1867.

She lived on a farm in Richland township as a girl and later the family moved into Nevada and she was united in marriage to Clarence W. Earl, December 31, 1889.

They made their home in Nevada for a number of years, then moved back onto a farm in Richland township, where their two daughters were reared and where the husband died several years ago.

Two daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl, they being, Anna Fay, who is now Mrs. Frank Clark, and Eva, now Mrs. Ben Ackerman. Besides these daughters she leaves six grandchildren, Floyd and Kenneth Clark and Mary Katherine, Marjorie, Raymond and Nora Ackerman. Also one sister, Mrs. O. J. Benjamin of Nevada.

Mrs. Earl was a woman highly admired and respected in the community in which she lived and a most devoted mother and grandmother. Her life had been lived for those around her and even in her last days, when she was a great sufferer, he unselfishness and constant thought of others were predominant.

The daughters, sister and other relatives will receive the profound sympathy of all in their hours of affliction.
