Funeral Services Wednesday Afternoon for Charles A. Dorcas

Funeral services for Charles A. Dorcas, 87, for over a score of years a resident of Nevada, who died early Monday, will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. from the Morfoot Funeral home, after which the body will be laid to rest in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery, by the side of the brother, the late J. D. Dorcas, who passed away a few years ago.

During his long residence in Nevada Mr. Dorcas had always made his home at 1224 First street, coming here to live with his brother, the late J. W. Dorcas and wife. Following the death of the brother he continued in the home and after the marriage of Mrs. Flora V. Dorcas to Elder A. L. Miller, the aged man continued in the home and was cared for as long as it was possible for him to be so cared for.

He had been failing in health for the past several years and during the past year his mind had been failing.

Reared in Cedar county, Iowa, he had lived in Iowa much of his life, although he had traveled considerably. In his immediate family he leaves but one sister, nearly as old and in quite the same condition as himself at the time of death. He also leaves a sister-in-law Mrs. Flora V. Miller of Nevada.
