O. K. Johnson Dies at Roland; Funeral Saturday

Special to the Journal:
Roland, Aug. 17--O. K. Johnson, 69, longline resident of this community, died at his home here Wednesday evening at 11 o'clock. Death was due to hardening of the arteries. While he had been failing a year and a half, he had been confined to his bed only since July 4.

Funeral rites will be held Saturday, with prayer at the house at 1:30 and the funeral service at Salem church at 2 p.m. with his pastor Rev. Olaf Holen in charge. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

Born at Morris, Illinois, February 10, 1870, he came with his family to Roland as a boy. Here he grew to manhood and was married to Julia Anderson February 10, 1896 and they had lived and raised their family of six children in this community, retiring from the farm and moving into Roland three years ago.

He leaves besides his wife the daughters Mrs. Jessie Osmundson and Mrs. Homer Lewis of McCallsburg and Mrs. Earnest Jacobson and Miss Ora Johnson of Roland, and the two sons Earnest Johnson and Harris Johsnon, both of Radcliffe.
