Hold Maxwell Services At Maxwell Thursday

Maxwell, Oct. 28--Funeral services for Theodore Maxwell were held last Thursday afternoon at Cooper's funeral chapel with the Rev. Fitz in charge. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Iowa Center.

Pallbearers were Van Gamble, Martin Maxwell, B. W. Maxwell, C. D. Maxwell, T. G. Fultz and E. B. Richardson, all of whom were nephews with the exception of E. B. Richardson.

Theodore Maxwell was born Dec. 14, 1859, and passed away Oct. 20, 1947, at Truman, Minn. He was married April 18, 1883, to Nettie Moore who preceded him in death. Five children were born to this union, all of whom are living Etha B. Scott, Phoenix, Ariz., Maude M. Graham, Tacoma, Wash., Ford M., Bell Garden, Calif., Fred M., Maxwell and Mary A. Nickerson, Truman, Minn., with whom he was making his home when death came.

Besides the children there are 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, also a host of friends both at Maxwell where nearly his entire life was spent and at Truman, Minn., where he made many new friends the short while he lived here.

Mr. Maxwell was a lover of children, took a very active part in sports all his life. Unusual for a man of his age, he attended baseball and basketball games and enjoyed all high school activities.

He was a man with much patience and endurance for never once did he complain even when he lost a limb four years ago. Up until the last week of his life he was able to care for himself with very little assistance.
