OBITUARIES
Bernice Amy Day
Bernice Amy Day, 96, of Nevada died of pneumonia Feb. 4 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Bernice Dayton was born Nov. 1, 1893, in Colo to Homer and Flora Dayton. She married Jesse Day Dec. 18, 1919, in Nevada. She was a homemaker and former employee of Dillin's Department Store in Nevada, and was a member of Colo United Methodist Church, Colo Clover Leaf Club, Rebecca Lodge and Royal Neighbors of America Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Eugene Day, two sisters and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Earl ay of Anaheim, Calif.; and three daughters, Isabelle LehrKamp of Cedar Rapids, Margaret Adams of Brackettville, Texas and Bernice Johnson of Clear Lake.
The funeral was held Feb. 7 at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada officiated by Pastor Jack D. Weida. Burial was in the Colo Cemetery.
