Funeral Services Held Saturday for David Ringgenberg

Cambridge, April 3 -- Funeral services for David Peter Ringgnberg were held at the Salem Reformed church at Alleman Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Stucki in charge, Rev. Breggren of Polk City delivering the sermon.

Lester Moore of Sheldahl sang "In The Garden" and "Sunrise Tomorrow."

Burial was at the Lincoln cemetery south of Alleman. Pall bearers were his nephews, Robert, Homer, Roy and Calvin Ringgenberg, Merville Alleman and Harold Rench.

David Peter Ringgenberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ringgenberg, was born in Lincoln township, Polk county, Iowa, April 28, 1880. On December 28, 1905 he was united in marriage to Florence Rench. To this union was born three children, Mrs. Relma Bartlett of Reno, Nevada, Lester of Des Moines and Cecil of Slater. He was engaged in farming, living on a farm south of Alleman until twelve years ago when he retired and moved to Cambridge.

He attended the public schools and was confined in old Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church with was then located west of Alleman.

Mr. Ringgenberg was a good husband and father, a kind friend and neighbor. He had been sick most of his life. He passed away at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday, March 25 at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines at the age of 66 years, 10 month and 25 days.

He leaves to revere his memory, besides his wife Florence, his daughter Relma, two sons Lester and Cecil, five brothers, Arthur of Winterset, Albert of Kelley, Edward and Robert of Lytton and Frank of Aberdeen, South Dakota. One sister Mrs. Rosetta Stifel of Hood River, Oregon, eight grand children and many other relatives and friends. His mother, father, five brothers and one sister have preceded him in death.
