Mrs. Marvick, 54, Former Story City Resident, Is Dead

Story City, March 24 -- Mrs. Cosette Henderson Marvick, 54-year-old former Story City resident, died late Saturday night at the home of her sister in Minneapolis, Minn., a few hours after she suffered a stroke.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Story City. A family prayer service at the Henderson funeral home with the Rev. Ivar Havneros in charge will precede 2 o'clock rites at St. Petri Lutheran church with the Rev. S. T. Nelson in charge. Burial will be in Story City cemetery by the side of the deceased's husband.

Mrs. Marvick was born and raised at Story City but had lived in Claimont, Cal., for more than five years before her death. She had been seriously ill since suffering her first stroke late last summer. After spending two months at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines she was taken to Franklin hospital in Minneapolis where she was a patient until two weeks ago.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Rexford, Brawley, Cal.; Malcolm, Zanesville, Ohio; Herbert, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Howard (Sara) Rudolph, Atlantic; and Mrs. West (Florence) Stotts, Minneapolis. She was the daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michas Henderson.
