Mrs. Britson, 84, Is Dead at Ames; Rites Wednesday
Roland, Jan. 7 == Mrs. Jennie Britson, 84, died at 3 o'clock Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hosie Jondall, at aAmes of old age and complications.
Funeral services will be held at Roland Wednesday afternoon with a prayer service at the J. E. Britson home at 1:30 followed by services at the Bergen Lutheran church. The Rev. Allen Nelson, pastor, will be in charge. Burial will be in Roland cemetery.
Mrs. Briton is survived by four children, Mrs. Jondall, Ames, and J. E., Arthur and Bert Britson, all of Roland. Seven children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Johnson, and her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Britson was born Sept. 18, 1862, at Norway, Europe, and came to this country with her parents at the age of seven. The family settled near Stanhope and in June, 1884, Mrs. Britson was married to L. A. Britson. After living two years at Story City the couple moved to Roland, where they live until the husband died a number of years ago and five years ago Mrs. Britson moved to live with her daughter at Ames.
