Former Nevada Back For Burial

Old Time Settler Dies in Oklahoma City; Buried Here

The body of H. D. Drake, former Nevada resident, and well known character here for many years, will arrive here Friday evening over the Rock Island for burial in the Nevada cemetery, according to word received this morning.

Drake was one of the oldest settlers of Story county. He lived here for over a quarter of a century. He was a familiar character on the streets of Nevada, and will be remembered by many of the older pioneers of this community.

Death came as a result of paralysis. He was afflicted for years before he left Nevada for Oklahoma, where he lived with his sister, Mrs. Ollie Archdale, Oklahoma City, Okla. She will accompany the boy here for burial.

Funeral services will be held at the Summit church, Saturday at 3 p. m. Drake was about 55 years old, it is said.
