MOLLY ELIZABETH CHILD GLASSCO

At the end of an illness of a year or more last week Thursday, Sept. 23rd, 1920, Mrs. Molly Elizabeth Child Glassco, passed beyond the veil that divides the life that now is from the life to come. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Child, pioneer residents of Nevada and her death s greatly regretted and the memory of acquaintance kindly cherished by her old time associates still abiding in Nevada or elsewhere. For twelve year her home has been in Des Moines. Her funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Lutheran church of this city and conducted by Rev. C. N. Swihart and were numerously attended by family, relatives and local and outside friends. The burial was in Nevada cemetery beside the graves of her kindred. The funeral services in music, the tribute and the prayer were in all respects appropriate and consoling to mourning friends. The floral contributions were many and tokens of sincere regard and affection.

Her five brothers, William and George of Ames, Harry of Boone, B. B. of Nevada, and Fred of Maynard, Minn. and their families were present at the obsequies. The one surviving sister, Mrs. Hattie Child Stevens, and her husband, Fred, of Ottumwas were likewise present. Also, besides her husband, E. H. Glassco, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Glassco, of Des Moines, were in attandance. Numerous other more or less close family relatives testified by their presence --- here and esteem for the departed relative and friend.
