JIM M'KEE DEAD AT CAMBRIDGE

WELL KNOWN CITIZEN VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK LAST NIGHT

Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Dec. 22--J. A. McKee, 75, native son of Story county died at his home in Cambridge on Monday night about 10:00 from a heart attack following a gradual decline in health for the past three years.

The body is now at the Cooper Funeral home in Maxwell, awaiting the funeral, which will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the U. B. church in Cambridge, with Rev. Mintle in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in the Cambridge cemetery.

Mr. McKee, born on a farm just east of Cambridge had lived in or near that town all of his life. He had been active in local politics and held many positions of trust in Cambridge, including mayor of the town, councilman and other offices.

Mr. McKee, born near here February 13, 1857, was a son of one of the pioneer families of the community.

He leaves besides his wife, one adopted son, Ray McKee of Burlington, who had spent the past months here assisting in the care of the home.

He also leaves a brother Will McKee of Des Moines and three sisters, Charlotte Waud of Cambridge, Margaret Figgenbaum of Washington, D. C. and Rebecca Tarman of San Francisco.

In the passing of "Jim" McKee, Cambridge loses one who for many years was its outstanding citizen and most active spirit in all public affairs.
