Sheldahl Woman to Be Buried Thursday

Special to the Journal.
Roland, Feb. 24--Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at Lincoln church, Slater, for Mrs. John Halverson, 70, Sheldahl, who died Monday, according to word reaching relatives here.

Mrs. Halverson, who has many relatives in this part of the county, had been ill for the past four months and died of anemia.

Mrs. Halverson was a native of Etne, Norway, Europe and came to America as a girl, with her parents, her maiden name being Inger Holland.

She was married to John Halverson in Ames, where they made their home for a year before moving to Sheldahl.

Funeral services will be held at the home at 1 o'clock Thursday and from the Lincoln church at Slater at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Peter Buland will be in charge. Interment will be in the Sheldahl cemetery.

Besides her husband, three daughter, Mrs. Bertha Neimier and Mrs. Janet Erickson of Sheldahl and Miss Evelyn Halverson of Chicabo and one son, Telmer of Sheldahl, survive. Three sisters, Miss Elizabeth Holland, who has been caring for her, Mrs. Ole Maland of Roland and Mrs. Melen Halverson of Slater, two brothers, Samuel and Severt Holland of Etne, Norway, and six grandchildren also survive.

One grandson, Claude Neimier, 14, has made his home with his grandparents all his life.
