Couser Funeral Was Held Thursday

Funeral services for the later Mrs. May Couser were conducted by Dr. J. O. Simon at the home on Thursday afternoon at 1:30. Pallbearers were Clarence Hilburn, Leslie Toot, Thorson Swanson, Simpson Toot, Lester Chitty and Ray Chitty. Interment was in the Colo cemetery.

Mrs. May Couser of Nevada, Ia., died Tuesday morning, Feb. 10, 1931 at her home near Fernald after an illness of seven months at the age of 53 years, 3 months and 16 days. Miss Mehitable Ann Bartlett was born October 24, 1877 at Johnson's Grove was given in marriage to T. G. Couser, Nov. 20, 1895. To this union was born four sons Dr. H. T. of Manchester, Edward J., Arthur L., and Harvey C., all of Nevada. They all survive her.

Other relatives are her father E. F. Bartlett of Santa Ana, Calif., her sister, Mrs. Aaron Hefley of Zearing, three grandchildren besides other relatives and friends.
