Virgil Britson Laid to Rest Wednesday

Roland, Aug. 26--Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Virgil Britson, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Britson, who died Monday morning from an illness caused by a tumor on the brain. The services were in charge of Rev. M. O. Sumstad and appropriate music was furnished by a girls' quartet, a girls' sextet and a solo by Otto J. Hanson. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Henderson and family, Mrs. Ray Johnson and Doris, Miss Ada Henderson, Dave Payton, Melvin Henderson of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Britson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Henderson of McCallsburg, Mrs. Hannah Sexe of Nevada, Mrs. Anna Hovland and Miss Louise Henderson of Story City.
