SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. ALEXANDER

WELL KNOWN GRANT TOWNSHIP WOMAN PASSED AWAY FRIDAY

Mrs. W. W. Alexander, 59, wife of a well-known farmer of west of Nevada, died at her farm home Friday afternoon at 2:00, from heart complications.

While Mrs. Alexander had been failing for the past two years it was not until Thursday that her condition became acute and she had been confined to her bed.

The funeral services will be held at the home, three miles west and half south of Nevada, Sunday afternoon at 2:00, with Rev. Geo. A. Lawton of the Methodist Episcopal church, in charge. Interment will be in the family lot in the cemetery at Urbana, Ill. The funeral party will leave here with the Northwestern and interment will be Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Alexander, whose maiden name was Ida May Winchester, was born near Aurora, Ill., December 14, 1872 and died at her home west of Nevada , February 26, 1932, aged 59 years, 2 months and 12 days.

She was united in marriage to Wilbur W. Alexander December 12, 1894 and they continued their home in Illinois until about 19 years ago, when they moved out to Story county, in Iowa, from Urbana.

Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Alexander, but two of them, both sons, died in infancy. The others are Lee W. and Roy W. Alexander both of near Nevada; Mrs. Edith Unwin of Ames; Mrs. Lola Hopper of Des Monies and Albert and Harry at home. There were also five grandchildren; two brothers, Ben and Ernest Winchester of Urbana and a sister, Mrs. Ellery Deason of Carbondale, Illinois.

Mrs. Alexander was a woman well known and most highly respected in the neighborhood in which she had spent the last score of years of her life and in her passing will leave sadness in the community where she had been active in local affairs.
