SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. CHRIS BOWERS

WELL KNOWN COLO WOMAN WAS VICTIM OF INJURIES IN FALL

Special to the Journal.
Colo, June 30--Mrs. Chris Bowers, 66, longtime resident of this community, died at her home here late Thursday as a result of injuries sustained in a fall on Tuesday.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church with Rev. Golden Thompson of the Evangelical church in charge, assisted by Rev. Scheuermann of the Methodist church.

Mrs. Bowers was a native of Wurtenburg, Germany, where she was born April 30, 1866. She came to America in 1885 and two years later, September 13 1887, she was married to Chris Bowers. Nine children were born to this union, two dying in infancy.

Those surviving are Henry, Albert, Mrs. Harry Postal, Mrs. William Settle, Mrs. Gust Hall and Mrs. Elmer Tevebaugh all of Colo and Mrs. Donald Bradley of Ames.
