Webb Teed Died at Home in Jasper

Collins, Feb. 11--Webb Teed, 79, living five miles south of Collins, in Jasper county, died Wednesday night at 9:00 o'clock after an illness of a few weeks.

Mr. Teed was a bachelor and Sarah Teed and was born in Indiana in 1854, coming to Iowa with his parents when but a baby. In 1859 the family moved to New Boston, Ill., and lived there eleven years coming again to Iowa and settling near the present home.

Mr. Teed was a batchelor and lived with his parents until their death and from that time on has lived almost entirely by himself on his farm.

The Teed family is one of the pioneer Jasper county families and was well known in and around Collins.

He leaves two brothers, Squire Teed of Jasper county and brother Harvey who could not be located at this time.

Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Ashton church and burial will be in the Ashton cemetery.
